This week the 2016 Australian Open draws to a conclusion with LIVE and exclusive coverage of the men’s and women’s finals only on Eurosport.

The final weekend of the tournament always promises fireworks, the 2015 edition saw Murray produce demanding performances against Nick Kyrgios and Thomas Berdych before losing in four sets to Novak Djokovic in the final. It was Murray’s fourth defeat in final of the Australian Open, more than any other player. Murray will be hoping to go one step further and add the title to his Grand Slam wins at the US Open and Wimbledon.

Serena Williams clinched last year’s title in what started a dominant year for the American as she went on to win the French Open and Wimbledon titles, notching a total of 21 Grand Slam titles.

Eurosport’s studio will be presented by Rob Curling with Greg Rusedksi, Virginia Wade and Miles Maclagan among the expert pundits. Simon Reed, Chris Bradnam and Jo Durie are among the commentary line-up.

30 & 31 January: LIVE Alpine Skiing – FIS World Cup

After racing down the treacherous Kitzbuhel Streif course last week, now the men’s downhill specialists will have a chance to impress on Garmisch-Partenkirchen’s Kandahar run.

The Kandahar is one of the most demanding races in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. Since Garmisch hosted the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships in 2011 this run has been modified to be a bit shorter but more challenging, including four jumps. The new middle section uses the mountain’s naturally steep and curving terrain and leads into the final third of the course: the steepest section “Free Fall” can now be seen from the finish grandstand. Norway’s Aksel Lund Svindal will be one of the favourites for this race as well as the super-G race due to take place on Sunday.

This week the women’s World Cup travels to Maribor for the Golden Fox Competition. The Golden Fox is an annual event, comprised of two world cup rounds – slalom and giant slalom. Around 20,000 spectators come to cheer on their favourites at the finish line of Snow Stadium below Mariborsko Pohorje, producing an incredible atmosphere. America’s Mikaela Shiffrin will be looking to repeat her victory in the slalom last year.

Matt Chilton will be providing commentary for these rounds.

After Sapporo the World Cup moves on to Holmenkollbakken, a large ski jumping hill located at Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway. It has a hill size of HS134, a construction point of K-120, and a capacity for 70,000 spectators.
