The Honda driver will be looking to increase his slender lead at the top of the championship at his home circuit of Knockhill in Scotland after Team BMW’s Rob Collard and Colin Turkington made up ground at Snetterton last time out. Shedden will also be keeping a close eye on Ashley Sutton who claimed two race wins at Snetterton – the Subaru driver has the most race wins to his name this season and is only 11 points off top spot. Presented by Steve Rider and Louise Goodman, with commentary from David Addison, Tim Harvey, Richard John Neil, Paul O’Neill and Phil Glew.

It is the final of the men’s high jump, with London 2012 bronze medallist Robbie Grabarz hoping to recapture the form of five years ago. One of the showpiece events of the night is the women’s 5,000m final, in which Brit Laura Muir will be relishing the chance to test herself against a host of African middle-distance stars.

Brendan Foster: A Life in Athletics – A look back at the career of Brendan Foster, who will retire after 37 years as one of the country’s most popular sports commentators following 2017’s World Athletics Championships. The former European 5,000m gold medallist and Commonwealth 10,000m champion began his commentary career in 1980 and has gone on to cover nine Olympic Games for the BBC.

Moto GP: Austria – The eleventh round of this year’s Moto GP World Championship comes from Austria, whose circuit cuts a path through beautiful Styria. The area’s Murtal region is known for its Alpine terrain, picturesque mountain villages and wonderful peaks, valleys, forests, rivers and lakes. At a length of 4.318km and with 10 turns, the Spielberg Red Bull Ring is a challenge for the best of riders. Italy’s Andrea Iannone claimed victory in the 2016 race, as well as accomplishing the fastest lap time. His countryman Andrea Dovizioso followed closely behind in second place, with Spain’s Jorge Lorenzo taking third place.
